Font Binge: August
It’s been a couple of months since my last binge, so I thought I’d make this one extra good! Some of these are new, and some I’ve been using for a good while. Read on, and enjoy!
First up is one of my most beloved scripty fonts! I use this font all the time. It is done beautifully, sizing and kerning are perfect- no wonky tendencies at all. It is called Lainie Day Script by Larabie Fonts. It is awesome for wedding invitations- if you take a look at some of my previous designs, you’ll recognize it in Flourish, and several custom projects I’ve done. My version is a little different than the one I linked to- no idea why though, I must have gotten alternate caps. The lowercase are the same, though.
Mexcellent also by Larabie Fonts is a font I found today while searching for the origination of Lanie Day Script. Doesn’t it look fun!
This is my favorite find of the day! I can see so much versatility in this font, it gets me excited to start designing! It is called Ripe by Ripe Type, and it’s available in four different weights. I LOVE IT! I’ve been into slab serifs lately- my whole rebranding was done with slab serif Nilland.
Tiza by Pablo Caro is a font developed while he was learning his font design software. It’s so awesome, wonderful for web design- less awesome for letterpress, but awesome none-the-less.
And, because I’m always in the mood for a sexy new san serif, Moderna by Font-a-licious.
